Dr. Hemjeet Singh Bedi, DMD
Hello, I am Dr. Hemjeet S. Bedi, the dedicated owner and primary practicing dentist at Lakeridge Dental Centre.

I grew up right here in Whitby Ontario. I completed my undergraduate degree at Western University and then went on to complete dental school at Tufts University in Boston Massachusetts.
I have a wonderful family, they are the most important thing to me. My wife is a dentist as well. She has her own practice in Courtice Ontario. We have three children who make sure to keep us on our toes. Together we love to hike in the summer and we spend many of our winter weekends skiing.
I have owned Lakeridge Dental Centre since 2013, where I aim to provide only the highest level of care to my patients.
Our History
The foundation of what is known today as Lakeridge Dental Centre began with Dr. John D. Baker, who served the Durham and Oshawa areas for more than 30 years.
Dr. Bedi’s journey with Lakeridge Dental Centre is truly unique, marked by a lifelong connection that has come full circle. Having been a patient at this practice since childhood, he intimately understands the values and commitment to patient care that define Lakeridge Dental Centre. This long-standing relationship culminated in 2013 when Dr. Bedi took on the significant role of principal owner, after the passing of Dr. Baker.
The practice later grew with the acquisition of a neighboring clinic. On the same floor, Dr. Scott Phillips owned his own practice where he cared for his patients for over 20 years. In 2022, Dr. Phillips announced his retirement, and Dr. Bedi had the pleasure of continuing his legacy of exceptional dental care that Lakeridge Dental Centre has always upheld.
Today, Dr. Bedi serves as the Principal Owner and dedicated Primary Dentist for Lakeridge Dental Centre. In this leadership role, he oversees all aspects of the practice, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality dental care to the Oshawa community. Dr. Bedi deeply respects and honors the legacy of his predecessors, recognizing the foundation they built and the patient-focused values they instilled. He is committed to upholding their dedication to excellence while also bringing his own vision to enhance the patient experience at Lakeridge Dental Centre.
